Litigation

  • Represented a state-owned enterprise in a retrial proceeding concerning a credit-insurance contract against a Chinese insurance company; successfully persuaded the Guangdong High People’s Court to reject the Guangdong branch’s petition for retrial.
  • Represented a state-owned enterprise in a series of property disputes against another company, avoiding property losses worth more than RMB 100 million.
  • Represented a bank in a lease dispute against a photography company; successfully applied for compulsory detention of the judgment debtor, which facilitated a settlement and recovery of the property.
  • Represented a bank in litigation over an objection to enforcement against an individual. Through detailed analysis of the case materials and investigation, identified signs of false litigation and, through sustained communication with the court, successfully pursued criminal liability against the individual and the individual’s representative.
  • Used a creditor’s revocation action to help a bank efficiently recover more than RMB 100 million in claims. The matter was recognized by the bank as an annual “Golden Idea” innovation and efficiency case.
  • Used enforcement measures including restrictions on high consumption and on entry into and exit from China, as well as inclusion on the list of dishonest judgment debtors, to compel debtors to repay.
  • Represented hundreds of bank debt-recovery matters and many other difficult and complex cases in litigation and arbitration, building extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, enforcement, and the disposal of non-performing assets.
  • Represented a company after it lost at first instance in an objection to enforcement and related litigation; prevailed on appeal and recovered several million yuan in losses.
  • Represented an individual whose marital community property was at risk of being disposed of by the enforcement court; through an objection to enforcement and subsequent litigation, obtained cancellation of the compulsory enforcement of jointly owned real property.

Traditional and Internet Finance

  • Served as ongoing legal counsel to financial institutions including CITIC Bank Guangzhou Branch, Changsha Bank Guangzhou Branch, Bank of Guangzhou, and Bank of Communications Guangdong Branch, providing advice on financial legal matters, representing hundreds of bank disputes, and advising on investment banking and other day-to-day operations.
  • Was selected as a legal service provider for Bank of Dongguan Guangzhou Branch and Bank of Communications Guangdong Branch, providing contentious and non-contentious legal services.
  • Served as ongoing legal counsel to China Post Consumer Finance Co., Ltd., a financial institution controlled by Postal Savings Bank of China, and provided legal services for the “China Post Wallet” app and other internet-finance platforms.

  • Served as ongoing legal counsel to the “Kaihua International Center” project in Guangzhou’s Zhujiang New Town, providing end-to-end legal services for construction, tendering, commercial real estate development, leasing and sales, and operations management.

Labor Disputes and Employment Compliance

  • Provided end-to-end legal services in labor disputes involving Walmart Investment (China) Co., Ltd. and Trust-Mart Department Store in South China, including arbitration, first instance, and appeal.
  • Served as special legal counsel for Bank of Guangzhou’s employment-relations management review, helping establish and standardize employment rules and policies and providing legal support throughout the employment-management lifecycle.

  • Represented Yantai Changyu Pioneer Wine Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd., Zhongyin (Guangzhou) Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Guilin Weinuodun Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., and other clients in more than one hundred copyright, trademark, and unfair competition disputes.
  • At the invitation of the Guangzhou Liwan District People’s Court, participated in promotional filming for the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Center.
