In China’s first year of the “15th Five-Year Plan”, while efforts are being made to develop new quality productive forces and to internationalize the industrial chain of these productive forces, other countries and regions are also facing the reshaping of global supply chains, as well as the upgrading towards digitalization and sustainability. They are also moving towards modern development milestones and their implementation. Chinese companies going global should first draw on the experience and lessons of multinational companies that have entered the Chinese market during China’s reform and opening-up process. They can gain a synergistic ecosystem and expertise from the practices of central state-owned enterprises and large listed companies. Special attention should be given to regions where “new internationalization” is taking place, such as ASEAN, MENA, Central Asia, and Central Europe. By leveraging the expertise of various international markets in terms of finance, law, taxation, business, digitalization, and finance, a mutually beneficial system can be created.
The series “Paths to Success in New Internationalization” is led by Lawyer Linghu Ming, a partner at Longan Law Firm and specializes in foreign affairs, compliance, and new governance, as well as a leader in the “Green International Leadership” think tank. With the help of international think tanks, domestic and foreign cooperation institutions, and experts in finance, law, taxation, business, digitalization, and finance, the “New Internationalization Cooperation Community NICC” is being established. As the New Year approaches, the first episode of the “New Internationalization Going Global” series will be available on Peking University Law Firm’s online platform at 10 a.m. on February 6.
In the first episode, Lawyer Linghu Ming will share insights on the regional hotspots related to “New Internationalization” and the “Leadership” projects, such as green computing power, autonomous driving test sites, new e-commerce and supply chain nodes. He will also discuss the “one-stop” business cooperation mechanisms between law firms, clients, NICC partners, and local resources. As a think tank expert who has long been involved in international energy transformation and green industry practices, and with experience in evaluating ESG reports from central state-owned enterprises, Linghu Ming will discuss new opportunities in the green industry with other experts from international energy think tanks, as well as related risks in geopolitics and compliance.
