In early May, to enrich the cultural life of its members and strengthen team cohesion, the General Party Branch of Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm recently organized a themed film screening event titled “Casting the Soul through Light and Shadow” for its practicing lawyers and staff.

Longan Guangzhou has long focused on integrating professional development, team building, and workplace culture. The firm emphasizes legal expertise while cultivating a supportive and cooperative professional environment. Through regular social and cultural activities, the General Party Branch aims to enhance team unity and reinforce a shared commitment to legal service and community engagement.

For this themed activity, the firm arranged a screening of the heartwarming film “Dear you.” Centered on “Qiaopi” (historical correspondence and remittance documents from overseas Chinese), the film portrays family ties and devotion across geographical distances, conveying values of perseverance, gratitude, and social responsibility. The film’s focus on commitment and integrity corresponds closely with the professional ethics of legal practitioners dedicated to the rule of law, justice, and public service.

Following the screening, attorney Guo Fuyu from Longan Guangzhou shared his thoughts: “Though separated by time and geography, kindness and warmth persist. The enduring dedication depicted in the film aligns with the duty of legal professionals to uphold fairness and fulfill their responsibilities. These simple human values motivate us to continue providing diligent service to our clients and the public.”

The screening provided an informal setting for colleagues to connect outside their demanding casework. Participants shared their reflections on the film’s themes, fostering friendly conversations and strengthening relationships within the firm.

Looking ahead, Longan Guangzhou will continue to organize cultural and team-building activities to enrich office life. The firm remains dedicated to collaborative work, high standards of legal practice, and contributing to the development of the rule of law.
