Longan Party Building | The founding meeting of the General Branch Committee of the Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm of the CPC was successfully held

On the afternoon of September 25, the founding ceremony of the General Branch Committee of the Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm of the CPC was held grandly in the multi-functional meeting room of the law firm. Party members and partner representatives of Longan Guangzhou gathered together to witness this milestone moment. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Zhang Shuyia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Longan Guangzhou.

The meeting began with the solemn national anthem. Under the leadership of Comrade Ye Peng, Secretary of the Party Branch of Longan Guangzhou, all Party members collectively studied General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on Party building. Special attention was given to “implementing the spirit of the eight-point decision on improving Party conduct and promoting the normalization and sustainability of Party building practices,” thereby strengthening the discipline awareness and responsibility of the Party members.

Comrade Ye Peng, Secretary of the Party Branch of Longan Guangzhou, delivered a work report on behalf of the branch committee. He reviewed the solid achievements made by the branch since its establishment in June 2019 in terms of political construction, institutional development, ideological development, and organizational development. Over the past six years, the Party Branch of Longan Guangzhou has actively played a political core role, incorporated Party building into the law firm’s charter, promoted the deep integration of Party building and firm development, and organized various distinctive Party building activities, including public welfare legal services, visits to red education bases, thematic education, and joint construction projects. This fully demonstrated the exemplary role of the Party members.

Comrade Zhang Shuyia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and member of the preparatory group for the branch committee, presented a report on the preparations for the branch committee’s establishment. She detailed the entire process from Party member registration, agenda formulation, candidate selection, to the organization of the meeting, ensuring that the establishment process was standardized and democratic. With the approval of the higher-level Party committee, the branch committee consisted of 5 members and 6 candidates, all from key Party members such as partners and lawyers, reflecting broad representation and advanced nature.

Comrade Zhang Shuyia read out the approval from the Guangzhou Lawyers’ Committee of the CPC regarding the establishment of the General Branch Committee of the Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm of the CPC.

The meeting reviewed and approved the election methods, candidate list, vote counters list, and vote tallyr list. The chief vote counter was Wei Guoxiang, the vote counters were Luo Xiaoxi, and the vote tallyrs were Luo Jie, Ke Cheng, Dai Keying, Wei Shiqi, and Li Chuyao.

In a serious and solemn atmosphere, all Party members elected the members of the first General Branch Committee of Longan Guangzhou through secret ballot. After the election, Ye Peng, Chi Meng, Zhou Junwei, Huang Qingfeng, and Cai Jiaxin were elected as members of the General Branch Committee. Subsequently, the first plenary meeting of the General Branch Committee was held, where the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Party Branch were elected. After the election, Ye Peng was elected Secretary of the General Branch Committee of the Beijing Longan Guangzhou Party, Zhou Junwei was elected Deputy Secretary, Chi Meng was elected Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, Huang Qingfeng was elected Member of the Organizational Committee, and Cai Jiaxin was elected Member of the Publicity Committee.

Then, a ceremony was held to unveil the plaque of the Party Branch. The members of the first General Branch Committee of Longan Guangzhou unveiled the plaque.

Ye Peng, the newly elected Secretary of the Party Branch, spoke on behalf of the members. He said that he would live up to expectations, lead all Party members to strengthen political guidance, promote the deep integration of Party building and business operations, and create a Party building brand with the characteristics of Longan Guangzhou, contributing to the construction of a law-based society in China.

The meeting concluded successfully with the powerful song “The Internationale.” All members of the Party Branch and leaders present took photos to commemorate this solemn and joyous moment.

The establishment of the General Branch Committee marks a new stage in the Party building work of the Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm. In the future, the Party Branch of Longan Guangzhou will continue to promote Party building through firm development, and use high-quality Party building to drive the professional, large-scale, and brand-oriented development of the law firm. This will provide stronger “red momentum” for advancing the rule of law in China and serving economic and social development.
