Recently, the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce sent a thank-you letter to the Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm, expressing sincere gratitude for Longan Guangzhou’s active participation in legal services for private enterprises in Guangzhou in 2025. In particular, the letter highlighted the professional efforts and dedication of lawyers such as Wu Rangjun, Liu Rennan, and **Wang Huixia.

As an expert unit in legal education and a member of the legal services expert group, the Wu Rangjun Law Firm team and the Liu Rennan Law Firm team jointly carried out the “2025 Intellectual Property Compliance Legal Assessment Project” organized by the Federation of Industry and Commerce. They actively cooperated with the project’s implementation, conducted specialized intellectual property legal assessments in enterprises, chambers of commerce, and industrial parks, thereby helping to improve the legal risk prevention and compliance capabilities of private enterprises.

During the several-month intellectual property legal assessment activities, Longan Guangzhou and the Federation of Industry and Commerce visited 30 enterprises. For each enterprise, personalized intellectual property assessment reports were prepared, and legal awareness promotion activities were organized. It was found that although private enterprises in Guangzhou have become more aware of intellectual property issues, there are still common problems such as insufficient international expansion, inadequate management systems, high costs of rights protection, and difficulties in value realization.

To address these issues, Longan Guangzhou proposed several practical suggestions, including establishing systematic intellectual property management systems for enterprises, strengthening international intellectual property strategies to avoid international risks, utilizing intellectual property assets through financing and licensing, and enhancing talent development and information services, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises and remote areas. The “2025 Summary Report on Intellectual Property Legal Assessment for Private Enterprises in Guangzhou” prepared from these assessments provides a comprehensive overview of the current situation, problems, and needs of enterprises, serving as a valuable reference for future policy development and service improvement.

Since Longan Guangzhou became one of the expert units for legal education selected by the Federation of Industry and Commerce, Wang Huixia, a member of the Longan Guangzhou expert team, has actively participated in various legal education activities organized by the Federation. In response to the call from the Federation, and taking advantage of the strengths of the Longan Bay-ASEAN Legal Research Center in providing legal services in Southeast Asia, she developed the “Professional Connection to ASEAN, Legal Protection for Guangzhou Enterprises” – a special legal services program by Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm. The plan and the legal education activities conducted by Lawyer Wang have been recognized by the Federation of Industry and Commerce.

In the future, Longan Guangzhou will continue to leverage its professional expertise to deepen cooperation with the Federation of Industry and Commerce. It will provide high-quality, forward-looking intellectual property legal services to private enterprises, helping them enhance their core competitiveness and contributing to the high-quality development of the private economy and a legal business environment in Guangzhou.
