On July 20, Mr. Wang Baoqiang, Deputy Party Secretary of Lanzhou University Law School, Mr. Zhang Jie, Associate Professor, and Ms. An Ka, Office Director, led over 30 undergraduate law students to visit Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm for an educational exchange. The firm was represented by Mr. Ge Xiangrong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee and Senior Partner; Mr. Ye Peng, Party Branch Secretary and Senior Partner; Mr. Ke Cheng, Partner; and Mr. He Jianye, who all participated in the reception. Mr. Chi Meng, Senior Partner, hosted the event.
At the start, Mr. Chi Meng warmly welcomed the Lanzhou University delegation and introduced the attendees from both sides. He noted that the exchange would focus on theme sharing and interactive discussions, encouraging everyone to learn and progress together.
Subsequently, Mr. Ge Xiangrong delivered a welcome speech, providing a comprehensive overview of the firm’s scale, honors, development philosophy, and cultural construction. He emphasized that this exchange recognized Longan Guangzhou’s platform strength and served as an opportunity to advance university-firm collaboration in talent cultivation and regional rule-of-law development, expressing hope for a long-term partnership.

During the themed sharing session, Mr. Ke Cheng and Mr. He Jianye drew on their own work experience to discuss topics such as career planning for law students, professional ethics cultivation, the current state of the legal profession, bar exam preparation, and internship interview tips. They addressed common challenges faced by newcomers, offering practical career guidance.
Following the presentations, an interactive Q&A session saw lively engagement. Students asked questions about practical application, internship planning, and career development, with Ge Xiangrong, Ye Peng, Chi Meng, Ke Cheng, and He Jianye providing detailed answers based on their experience. The event concluded with the exchange of gifts and a group photo, capturing the friendly atmosphere.
