At the beginning of the year, the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce sent a letter of appreciation to Longan Guangzhou Law Firm, acknowledging the firm’s active participation in legal services for private enterprises in Guangzhou in 2025, particularly its contributions to intellectual property rule-of-law lectures and the “Legal Health Check” project.

After 1,915 days of dedicated defense work, the Supreme People’s Court ruled not to approve the death penalty and remanded the case for retrial. Ultimately, the Guangdong Provincial High People’s Court commuted the sentence to death with a two-year reprieve, demonstrating the firm’s criminal defense team’s exceptional professional standards.

Party-Building Leadership: Practicing Social Responsibility in Rule-of-Law Public Welfare
After upgrading its Party branch to a General Party Branch and establishing a three-tier organizational structure, the Longan Guangzhou General Party Branch planned its annual Party-building work at the beginning of 2026, focusing on four key tasks: deepening “Party-building + Firm Development,” building the “Longan Red” Party-building brand, cultivating the firm’s “family culture,” and practicing social responsibility.
In the first half of the year, the General Party Branch organized Party member lawyers to engage deeply in public welfare legal services, conducting series of services around grassroots assistance, legal aid for special groups, and youth rule-of-law education. The Branch also regularly organized immersive red education activities including “Light and Soul” film screenings, Party Constitution study sessions, and Hong Kong Sai Kong red study tours.
In January, the Longan Guangzhou General Party Branch, together with the Public Welfare Committee and the Dagang Town Women Volunteers Promotion Association, launched the “Love Together — Aid for Single-Parent Families” special action, extending Party warmth and Longan’s professional care to a single mother in need.
In March, the First, Second, and Third Party Branches of Longan Guangzhou conducted series of Party-building activities, coordinating annual democratic evaluation of Party members and sharing of professional experiences.
In April, to enhance the rule-of-law awareness and social integration of community correction subjects, Lawyer Cai Jiaxin, member of the General Party Branch, delivered a lecture on “From ‘Identity’ to ‘Rebirth’ — Community Correction Legal Education” at the Tianhe South Judicial Office.
In early May, the General Party Branch organized the “Light and Soul” themed Party Day film screening activity, helping front-line Party member lawyers cultivate their original aspirations and draw strength for progress.
In June, the General Party Branch organized the “Remember the Long March, Celebrate the Return, Welcome July 1st” Hong Kong-themed Party-building activity. The two-day event took Party members to Hong Kong Sai Kong, tracing red footprints and consolidating the strength of unity.
At the end of June, the CPC Guangdong Provincial Lawyers Industry Committee announced the 2025 provincial Party-building assessment results. The Longan Guangzhou General Party Branch was rated as “Excellent” for its solid Party-building foundation, proactive public welfare legal services, and rich Party-building practices.

At the beginning of the year, Longan Guangzhou completed the expansion of its 45th-floor office area and established a dedicated professional fitness center equipped with high-specification fitness equipment comparable to professional studios, covering cardio, strength, and functional training zones, along with shower rooms and changing facilities.
On February 6th, the “New Year Market” event co-organized by the General Party Branch and the Public Welfare Committee brought together colleagues and guests for a culturally rich New Year celebration.
On March 6th, Longan Guangzhou hosted the “A Spring Flower Affair” International Women’s Day floral arrangement activity, celebrating every outstanding female legal professional with flowers and warmth.
On April 3rd, Longan Guangzhou completed the procurement and installation of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment and conducted related emergency response training, strengthening workplace safety protection.
On April 23rd, in celebration of World Book Day, Longan Guangzhou held a reading sharing session and awarded certificates for the “Books for Vegetables · Charity Book Donation” activity.
On May 23-24th, the first Longan National Sports Games was held at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (Liangxiang Campus). Longan Guangzhou participated in men’s football and basketball, with both teams winning championships with perfect records.
On June 2nd, the “Expired Children’s Day, Wishes Still Count” retro-themed activity organized by the Youth Work Committee brought warmth and nostalgia.
On June 10th, the Youth Work Committee organized the “World Cup Passion, Predict the Champion” youth tea talk event, featuring World Cup discussions and full-tournament prediction games.
