On January 30-31, 2026, the “Let’s Fly Free – A Serious Summary, Fun Entertainment; A Serious Outlook, Then Back Again” annual celebration of Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Jiangmen came to a successful conclusion. All colleagues from Longan Guangzhou gathered together to summarize the efforts and achievements of 2025, and with beautiful visions, start 2026. In a warm and lively atmosphere, they relieved their fatigue and freely expressed themselves, attending this reunion event together.

The annual celebration consisted of 7 major segments: the law firm’s annual summary and speech, the General Party Branch summary, the law firm’s annual awards, a chorus performance, a dinner celebration, “boiling tea around the fire”, and outdoor hiking and mountain climbing activities. The summary and awards segment was hosted by Lawyer Xie Xin, a senior partner of Longan Guangzhou. The dinner segment was hosted by Chen Changqin and Cai Mengfei, young lawyers from Longan Guangzhou.

（I） Director of the Management Committee gives a speech and presents the annual summary

At the annual celebration, Director Liu Xin of the Longan Guangzhou Management Committee delivered a speech with the theme “Changes and Persistence, Choice and Commitment”, and presented the law firm’s 2025 annual summary. From four aspects: “Stability in 2025, Attempts at Breakthroughs”, “Some Topics Discussed”, “Important Choices and Commitments for the Future”, and “Conclusion”, he summarized deeply with all colleagues and discussed the new journey together.

2025: Stability First, Abundant Achievements

Over the past year, Longan Guangzhou adhered to the development direction of “stability first, attempts at breakthrough” in a complex and changing market environment. It achieved remarkable results: the number of lawyers increased significantly, and revenue rose steadily; the professional platform was continuously refined and new breakthroughs were made; professional activities remained active; and various cultural and sports activities were vibrant. All cultural and sports associations of the law firm maintained active energy. During the 11th Guangzhou Lawyer Industry Sports Meeting, 48 athletes were selected to compete in seven events, achieving many excellent results, demonstrating the vitality and depth of Longan Guangzhou. Brand promotion was effective, and industry influence continued to expand. Many awards were won, and the law firm was also awarded the “Outstanding Commercial Law Firm” award in the Guangzhou regional local branch category (regional award). At the same time, party building work was solidly promoted, the General Party Branch was upgraded, and many unique party building activities were carried out, highlighting the role of the red ideology.

Discussing Core Topics, Clarifying the Development Direction

Combining industry trends and law firm practices, Director Liu Xin shared seven core topics with colleagues for encouragement:

First, the core value of large-scale development is high quality, not just simple number growth. The goal is to enhance brand competitiveness and internal cooperation efficiency. Second, lawyers with strong delivery capabilities, knowledge of benefit sharing, and emphasis on team building have greater sustainable development potential. Third, in the AI era, three core qualities are needed: curiosity, aesthetics, and ability to distinguish truth. We should find permanence in change and use permanence to guide change. Fourth, through spiritual, professional, and business dimensions, lawyers should actively participate in achieving mutual benefit. Fifth, we should care about the law firm platform. Sixth, “zero effective complaints” should be the self-discipline goal of all lawyers. Seventh, the purpose of setting up gyms is to promote scientific and civilized fitness, establishing a national concept of physical exercise.

Sticking to Core Principles, Moving Towards the Future

Director Liu Xin emphasized that the most important choices and commitments in the future are to maintain the dignity of law and the integrity of the industry. These are the “cut-off lines” that cannot be crossed in the lawyer industry. He cited quotes from predecessors such as Jiang Ping, Hu Qiao’o, and Danuo, as well as a sermon by British poet John Donne, to deeply explain the mission and responsibility of legal professionals. He stressed that maintaining legal dignity, industry integrity, and a professional environment should start with every legal professional.

Conclusion: With Poetry and Songs, Fly Forward

At the end of the speech, Director Liu Xin used the original prose poem “This Time, I Don’t Want to Say Goodbye” as the final conclusion, and ended with the song “Choice”. He said, “Where language cannot reach, poetry can; where the soul cannot reach, music can”, thereby conveying the courage of choice and the power of commitment.

（II） General Party Branch Summary

At the annual celebration, Lawyer Ye Peng, the secretary of the General Party Branch of Longan Guangzhou, presented a report on the 2025 work of the General Party Branch and clarified the work plan for 2026.

Secretary Ye Peng comprehensively summarized the 2025 work of the General Party Branch from aspects such as organizational upgrading, team building, and special activities. In 2025, Longan Guangzhou successfully upgraded from a “Party Branch” to a “General Party Branch”, a new committee was established, and three Party Branches were set up. The cohesion and combat effectiveness of the committee improved significantly. Many new formal Party members were added throughout the year, and the Party member team grew steadily. Many Party member lawyers actively participated in public legal services, playing an exemplary role. In addition, the General Party Branch innovated activity forms, holding special activities such as “Light and Shadow Forging the Soul” and “Shanwei Red Research”, deeply integrating party building with law firm culture and business development, presenting a good image of Party member lawyers. 14 outstanding Communist Party members were recognized and set as models.

Secretary Ye Peng clarified that in 2026, the integration of party building and firm building will continue to be promoted, and the “Longan Red” party building brand will be created. Party building will guide fulfilling social responsibilities, helping party building work reach a new level.

To recognize colleagues and teams that performed well in 2025, Longan Guangzhou set 20 important awards, honoring every effort and contribution, and gathering the strength of all colleagues to start a new journey together.

There were two extremely important awards at the annual meeting. One was the Special Contribution Award, given to Director Lu Chunlin, who has been the legal representative of Longan Guangzhou since 2018. This award was given to recognize the historical contributions made by Director Lu during his tenure as the legal representative. During the awarding ceremony, the new legal representative, Director Zhou Junwei, and Director Lu completed a simple but solemn transition ceremony, which will be a memorable historical moment for Longan Guangzhou.

（IV） Chorus Performance, A Tribute

To reflect the theme of freely expressing oneself, the internal talent performance session was cancelled at the annual meeting, allowing everyone to relax completely. However, the chorus performance by the Longan Guangzhou Chorus was retained. This was related to the other important award given at the end of the annual meeting, the Outstanding Contributions to Club Building Award. The winner of this award is Lawyer Sha Yuchun, one of the founders of the chorus group and who has a decisive influence on its development. Retaining the chorus performance was to pay tribute to Lawyer Sha Yuchun who received this award!

After the summary and awards segment, the long-awaited chorus performance by the chorus group took place. The performance was organized by the artistic director Bao Zeyun, the leader Cao Kaijie, the deputy leader Wei Jiayi, and art instructor Liu Wei, as well as key members of the Shing弧 Chorus, adding to the professionalism. The chorus group members were full of energy and performed three songs: “What the World Gives Me”, “No More Meetings”, and “Festive Fireworks in the City”. The melodies were beautiful and the emotions were sincere, resulting in continuous applause.

After the break, the relaxed and joyful dinner celebration began. Hosts Lawyer Chen Changqin and Cai Mengfei brought the atmosphere lively and humorous, quickly lifting the mood of the whole place. Everyone completely relaxed from work and enjoyed this reunion event, truly achieving the original intention of the annual meeting: “Freeing oneself, relaxing the mind”.

At the beginning of the dinner, the new director of the law firm, Lawyer Zhou Junwei, stepped up to give a toast, expressing sincere greetings and New Year blessings to all colleagues. He hoped that everyone would work together to achieve a new beautiful journey in the new year.

Then, all representatives of the law firm and colleagues raised their glasses together. At this moment, the sound of glasses clinking and everyone’s laughter intertwined, and the dinner continued in a warm and lively atmosphere.
