As April begins with its fragrant blossoms, on April 7, 2024, the Party Branch of Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Beijing successfully held its annual meeting for Party members. The meeting was presided over by Lawyer Ye Peng, the secretary of the Longan Guangzhou Party Branch. Thirty-six Party member lawyers actively participated in the meeting, working together to draw up a plan for Party building.
1. In-depth study of the Patriotic Education Law
Under the leadership of Lawyer Ye Peng, the secretary of our firm’s Party Branch, the Party members present sang the national anthem, and they actively participated in Party class studies. They thoroughly implemented the Patriotic Education Law, raised their political awareness, focused on practical results, and applied what they learned. They strengthened organizational leadership, ensuring that the spirit of patriotism was ingrained in their hearts and practiced in their actions. They were committed to providing legal services effectively, serving as inheritors of the spirit of patriotism.
2. Democratic voting for the conversion of probationary Party members
As the second item on the meeting, Comrade Ruan Zi Yun, a probationary Party member, presented her application for conversion. After democratic voting by the Party members present, her application was approved unanimously. From now on, Comrade Ruan Zi Yun becomes a member of our firm’s Party Branch.
3. Group formation to strengthen organizational unity
To better connect the Party member lawyers, our firm’s Party Branch has divided the members into six groups. Each group leader leads the members in learning about Party knowledge. At the same time, they assist the Party Branch in its work, convene group meetings, evaluate Party members, and collect Party fees.
4. Varied activities, achieving both Party building and firm development
This Party member meeting announced the 2024 Party member activity plan. For example, there will be visits to the Guangzhou Uprising Martyrs’ Cemetery on May Fourth Youth Day, and activities focused on red heritage during the Party building month. Our firm’s Party Branch will continue to demonstrate the exemplary role of Party members through its actions, integrating Party building with firm development.
5. Recognition of excellence: selection of outstanding Party members and groups
Our firm’s Party Branch encourages every Party member and group to set higher standards for themselves and contribute more effectively to society. At the same time, the selection process is fair and transparent. The selection of outstanding Party members and groups is both a recognition of the past and an encouragement for the future.
The 2024 Party member meeting of the Longan Guangzhou Party Branch effectively united the Party member lawyers, led them to thoroughly study the Patriotic Education Law, and clarified the 2024 Party member activity plan. The Party members were closely connected through groups, facilitating the implementation of various Party building activities. In the future, the Longan Guangzhou Party Branch will continue to uphold the Longan spirit of “prosperity together, peace for all”, fostering unity and cooperation, and moving forward bravely to contribute to legal progress and social justice.
