The fragrant mugwort fills the air, and the love of zongzi is deep. On May 27th, the multi-functional meeting room in Longan Guangzhou was filled with sweetness and warmth. The law firm’s Dragon Boat Festival event and second-quarter employee birthday party were held here with great significance. The theme of this event was “Deeply affectionate Dragon Boat Festival, Enjoying Joy”. All colleagues gathered together to make sweet zongzi by themselves. While celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, they also celebrated the birthdays of employees in the second quarter. This event was hosted by Yang Li from the Comprehensive Service Center.

At the beginning of the event, a fun and relaxed ice-breaking game began—guessing idioms from emoji images. Various emoji combinations appeared on the screen one after another. Everyone tried to figure out the meanings behind them. Some colleagues quickly answered the questions, and the atmosphere became more lively. Everyone got closer to each other through laughter.

During the limited-time multiple-choice game related to the Dragon Boat Festival, the host cleverly integrated traditional cultural knowledge into the fun quizzes. The questions covered various aspects such as the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, its customs, and poems. Everyone thought carefully and answered quickly. Through these questions, not only did they gain knowledge, but they also understood the rich meaning of the Dragon Boat Festival.
Making Sweet Zongzi at Home
The special activities during the Dragon Boat Festival further enhanced the atmosphere. During the zongzi-making session, everyone sat together and, under the guidance of professional instructors, made crystal-like zongzi. Colorful glutinous rice was carefully wrapped in fresh leaves. After being wrapped several times around the legs, the zongzi became well-shaped. This was a combination of traditional zongzi and modern desserts. Each beautiful and unique zongzi was created with laughter.
Happy Birthdays for Employees in the Second Quarter
During the birthday celebration, employees sang the birthday song under the flickering candlelight. They expressed their hopes for the future. The blessings from colleagues came like a wave, adding a special warmth to Longan Guangzhou in May.

To make the employees feel special and surprised, the Comprehensive Service Center carefully planned the event. They collected photos of nearly 50 employees in the second quarter and turned them into cartoon characters. They created personalized photo frames for each employee. These photo frames were well-received by the employees, and they took photos with them.

This Dragon Boat Festival event and birthday party is a vivid example of Longan Guangzhou’s efforts in promoting culture. In the future, Longan Guangzhou will continue to use cultural activities as a platform to explore the meaning of festivals and organize various events to enrich the lives of lawyers.
