On March 19, 2025, in order to further promote internal communication and deeper understanding among partners in Longan Guangzhou, strengthen close collaboration among lawyers within the firm, and maximize resource integration, Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Beijing successfully held the “7th Shine Fire Meeting” sharing session. Director Liu Xin of the Longan Guangzhou Management Committee, along with over 30 senior and partner lawyers from Longan Guangzhou, attended the event. This event featured sharing and exchanges by newly appointed senior partner Lawyer Liu Huan and senior partner Lawyer Ren Chao, as well as newly joined partner Lawyer Luo Yunyu. Lawyer Xie Xin first extended a warm welcome to Director Liu Xin and all partners who attended the event despite their busy schedules. He said that this event was the seventh session of the Shine Fire Meeting series, aimed at strengthening and facilitating communication and deeper understanding among partners in Longan Guangzhou, sharing business experiences, and promoting collaborative cooperation among lawyers within the firm. This Shine Fire Meeting welcomed newly appointed senior partners Lawyer Liu Huan and Lawyer Ren Chao, as well as newly joined partner Lawyer Luo Yunyu, and he looked forward to the valuable sharing by these three lawyers.

Lawyer Liu Huan first introduced the team’s structure and personal practice experiences, noting that the team currently focuses mainly on three major areas: intellectual property, civil and commercial matters, and legal advisory services. Then, she shared cases related to trade secrets, unfair competition, copyrights, trademarks, and civil and commercial matters handled by the team. In outlining these cases, Lawyer Liu mentioned the techniques used by the team to organize and optimize litigation strategies using mind maps and statistical tables. Subsequently, regarding cases involving well-known trademarks, trade secret cases, well-known artists, and mask machines, Lawyer Liu shared the challenges and solutions in handling these cases. Regarding the team’s positioning, Lawyer Liu expressed the hope of creating the most cost-effective team, through extreme professionalism, excellent service, moderate prices, and understanding of clients and the market to achieve the best value. Finally, Lawyer Liu mentioned the hope of exploring more cross-sector integrations in the future, such as the integration of intellectual property with marriage and family matters, intellectual property with criminal law, criminal law and company law, while further promoting personnel and brand building, and strengthening brand promotion.

Lawyer Ren Chao shared his learning experiences and progression in the legal industry, as well as his explorations and insights in learning abilities and interpersonal relationships. Then, he introduced the professional areas and legal services the team focuses on, and expressed the hope of collaborating with partners from other Longan branches in the Guangzhou Bay area to establish the Longan Guangzhou Execution Law Research Center, providing feasible solutions for legal case execution for Longan lawyers.

Lawyer Luo Yunyu first shared her work experiences in different entities such as courts, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, foreign companies, and law firms, as well as her explorations in various legal service areas (such as criminal trials, international trade, and urban renewal). Then, Lawyer Luo briefly introduced some of the cases she handled, including new urban village renovation projects, “three old” renovation projects, real estate investment and mergers and acquisitions/cooperation projects. She also shared her experience as a special legal advisor for regulatory and policy legislation, the results of publishing professional books and policy compilations, and research on key issues in urban renewal. Subsequently, Lawyer Luo provided a detailed presentation on the historical changes in Guangzhou’s urban renewal policies, stating that the current demand for urban renewal legal services mainly lies in full-process legal services, specialized legal services, investment and merger and due diligence, and dispute resolution. In addition, Lawyer Luo shared the series of activities related to foreign legal services, the local team in Turkey and its advantages.

At the end of the event, Director Liu Xin gave a summary speech based on the sharing by the partners. He mentioned that the business characteristics of the newly joined partners were particularly distinct, filling or strengthening the gaps or relatively weak areas in Longan Guangzhou’s overall business portfolio. This indicates that Longan is currently in an optimization stage that emphasizes complementarity and balance in talent acquisition. Then, combining with the current economic situation, Director Liu suggested that Longan lawyers can achieve diversified business expansion through horizontal cooperation. Director Liu mentioned the hope of more excellent partner teams joining in the future to further enrich and improve Longan Guangzhou’s business portfolio. Finally, Director Liu also emphasized the purpose and necessity of establishing the Longan Guangzhou Execution Law Research Center, and encouraged lawyers with execution resources to actively join, achieving high-level integration and mutual benefit.
