Safety First
Recently, Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Beijing held a fire safety training event with the theme “Safety First, Life Above All.**” The training was led by Mr. Jiang Weipeng, a safety specialist from the Safety Department of the Wuyi Li Plaza Management Center. The purpose was to enhance the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of all employees, thereby creating a safe and stable working environment.
The training consisted of four sessions, with solid content and engaging formats. First, the participants watched the “Warning Video on High-Rise Building Fires”. Through real-life cases, they understood the severity and urgency of fires, thus strengthening the concept that “time is life” in terms of fire safety.
Then, Mr. Jiang Weipeng explained the “four capabilities” related to fire safety, based on the characteristics of the Wuyi Li Plaza building and its fire protection systems. These capabilities include the ability to identify and eliminate fire hazards, the ability to extinguish early-stage fires, the ability to organize people’s evacuation and escape, and the ability to conduct fire safety education and training. Mr. Jiang also introduced the 12 types of fire protection systems in the building, such as automatic fire alarm, automatic sprinkler systems, smoke control systems, emergency lighting, and evacuation signs. He emphasized the layout of the mini fire stations and the emergency response mechanism of “confirmation in 1 minute, arrival in 3 minutes, and response in 5 minutes”.

During the practical training on fire equipment, Mr. Jiang Weipeng and property staff demonstrated how to use ABC dry powder fire extinguishers and smoke masks. Using phrases like “lift, remove, spray” and “remove, tighten” to help participants quickly master the techniques. The participants actively engaged with each other, gradually becoming familiar with the usage scenarios and precautions for various equipment.
Later, under the guidance of the instructor, everyone visited the evacuation level and mini fire station on the 37th floor of Building A in Wuyi Li Plaza. They learned about the settings and functions of evacuation routes, fire doors, emergency lighting, etc., and became more familiar with the escape routes and emergency resources in the building.
This training helped to internalize fire safety knowledge and practice emergency self-rescue skills. It effectively improved the safety resilience of Longan Guangzhou. In the future, Longan Guangzhou will take this training as a new starting point, integrate fire safety management into daily operations, and establish regular prevention and emergency mechanisms to protect the safety of everyone’s life and property.
