On August 23, 2026, the International Commercial Arbitration Forum, co-hosted by the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), the Guangxi Arbitration Association, the Guangxi Lawyers Association, and the Civil Law Research Society of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Law Society, was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Yang Lun, a lawyer from Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm, was invited to join the roundtable and deliver a themed presentation on the “Rising China-ASEAN Commercial Dispute Resolution Market.”
At the forum, Wang Junhang, Director of the Public Legal Services Division of the Department of Justice of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Nong Xuan, Vice President of the Guangxi Lawyers Association, attended and delivered remarks. Dato’ Danesh Chandran, Chief Executive Officer of AIAC, delivered a video keynote speech.
Experts in cross-border dispute resolution from China, Malaysia and other countries delivered presentations on practical rules for connecting litigation and arbitration procedures, cross-border collaboration between China and ASEAN in international commercial arbitration, and the practical application of AI vertical large language models in ASEAN legal research.
During the roundtable discussion centered on the “Rising China-ASEAN International Commercial Dispute Resolution Market,” legal experts from China, Malaysia, Australia and other countries conducted cross-border exchanges. Drawing on his experience in foreign-related legal services, Yang Lun delivered a speech on arbitration market trends and risk prevention in foreign-related legal affairs, offering frontline observations and insights for Chinese enterprises entering the ASEAN market.
While in Nanning, Yang Lun, together with the AIAC delegation, also visited the China-ASEAN Commercial Arbitration Cooperation Center and Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm for discussions and exchanges.
