Recently, in response to the call from the Qingyuan Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau and the Qingyuan Consumer Rights Protection Committee to carry out the “Stimulating Consumer Activity, Promoting High-Quality Development” 2024 Consumer Rights Protection Campaign, Lawyers Zhan Shangli, He Qiang, Chen Luowei, and Li Shaoyuan from Longan Guangzhou Partners together with the legal advisory service unit China Mobile Communications Group Guangdong Co., Ltd., Qingyuan Branch (hereinafter referred to as “China Mobile Qingyuan Branch”) organized a series of legal education activities titled “Moving Forward with Law – 3.15 International Consumer Rights Day”.
The lawyers from Longan Guangzhou and China Mobile Qingyuan Branch provided legal education to the public by setting up information desks and display boards, distributing brochures and materials on consumer rights protection, personal information protection, and anti-telecom fraud. Lawyer He Qiang and the legal staff from China Mobile Qingyuan Branch explained the main obligations of business operators and related legal responsibilities to the public, and provided guidance on issues related to returning goods purchased online and protecting rights against counterfeit products.
At the event, Lawyer He Qiang answered legal questions related to daily life for the public. Free on-site consultations were provided regarding issues such as consumer rights protection, wills, and marriage. This increased the public’s awareness of their rights and expanded their approaches to protecting them. A total of over 400 promotional materials were distributed, and more than 60 people received consultations.
This event was a legal education campaign carried out by government authorities.
