Recently, the Guangzhou Lawyers Association officially announced the list of winners for the “Professional Contribution Award” for the 2023 year. Lawyer Huang Xiangguang, a senior partner at Longan Guangzhou, Lawyer Yang Ruwang, a senior partner, and Lawyer Qiu Junping, a senior partner, were awarded the “20-Year Professional Contribution Award”.
2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the reform of the Guangzhou lawyers’ system and the 35th anniversary of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association. On this memorable occasion, the Guangzhou Lawyers Association organized a nomination process for the Professional Contribution Award. After various stages such as active nomination, review, and public announcement, three lawyers were honored to receive this award. We extend our warm congratulations to these award-winning lawyers!
The “Professional Contribution Award” is a recognition given by the Guangzhou Lawyers Association to lawyers who have practiced for 20 or 30 years. These lawyers must not have received any disciplinary actions from Party discipline or judicial administrative authorities, nor any disciplinary actions from the Lawyers Association during their practice. The award is given to those whose performance is rated as “competent” over the course of their years of practice. This award aims to encourage outstanding lawyers and recognize those who have made contributions to social fairness and justice.
The award-winning lawyers—Huang Xiangguang, Yang Ruwang, and Qiu Junping—have set a good example for other lawyers at Longan Guangzhou. They demonstrate the dedication and professionalism of Longan lawyers. In the future, Longan Guangzhou will continue to uphold its core philosophy of “making excellence a habit and service a belief”. Lawyer Huang Xiangguang
Lawyer Huang began practicing law in December 2002. He is currently a senior partner at Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Beijing. Since 2011, he has been an arbitrator at the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission in China, and since 2021, he has been an arbitrator at Zhuhai International Arbitration Court. Lawyer Huang also serves as a legal advisor for the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangdong Province, vice president of the Law School (Lawyer Academy) of Guangzhou University, and independent director at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

During his time as a full-time lawyer, he has provided high-quality and efficient legal services to numerous entities, including local governments, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, commercial banks, asset management companies, private enterprises, high-tech companies, venture capital firms, and real estate development companies. Lawyer Yang Ruwang
Lawyer Yang Ruwang is a senior partner at Longan Guangzhou and the head of the Yunfei Fang legal team. With over 20 years of experience, he has served as the vice chairman of the Hezhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, a member of the Hezhou Political Consultative Conference, the vice chairman of the Fuchuan Federation of Industry and Commerce, a member of the Fuchuan Political Consultative Conference, president of the Guangdong-Fuzhou Chamber of Commerce, supervisor of the Guangzhou Brand Quality Innovation Promotion Association, and the chief legal advisor to the Guangzhou office of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government. He also serves as an independent director at listed companies.
Lawyer Qiu Junping
Lawyer Qiu Junping is a senior partner at Longan Guangzhou. His main areas of practice include dispute resolution, real estate and construction projects, and banking and finance. With over 20 years of experience, he has managed bad assets for large financial institutions. He has successfully handled many civil and commercial cases worth hundreds of millions of yuan.
