In order to enhance the safety awareness and self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities of the lawyers in the law firm, on July 22, Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Beijing specially invited Dr. Huang Yingxiong, a senior attending physician from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, to give a first-aid knowledge lecture. The aim is to help everyone master basic first-aid skills and knowledge, so that they can quickly and effectively carry out self-rescue and mutual rescue in emergency situations, thus gaining precious time for saving lives. Lawyer Peng Jinqiao said that it is a great honor to invite Dr. Huang Yingxiong from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University to give a lecture on first-aid knowledge at Longan Guangzhou. The content of this event covers key first-aid skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and the Heimlich maneuver, so that everyone can have a certain understanding of first-aid knowledge and master the ability to respond to first-aid emergencies in special situations.

Dr. Huang Yingxiong first explained the basic theory of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Dr. Huang mentioned that before performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, it is necessary to ensure a safe environment. By checking the carotid artery, we can determine whether the patient is still responsive, and by observing the chest movement, we can see if there is still breathing. Then, Dr. Huang introduced the key points of chest compressions, opening the airway, artificial ventilation, and the position after resuscitation.
Subsequently, Dr. Huang explained in detail the working principle and operation process of AED (Automated External Defibrillator), as well as the Heimlich maneuver in the upright and supine positions, chest thrusting method, back patting method, and self-rescue methods when there is airway obstruction.
Then came the practical session of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Through simulations, Dr. Huang demonstrated the whole process of cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques. Under Dr. Huang’s guidance, the participants actively participated in the practical exercises of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED.
