Recently, the First, Second, and Third Party Committees of Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm in Beijing have carried out a series of Party building activities in a thorough manner, coordinating two key tasks: annual democratic evaluation of Party members and sharing of insights by Party member lawyers on their practice. These activities have further strengthened the Party spirit of Party member lawyers, fostered ideological consensus, and effectively promoted the high-quality development of the firm through high-quality Party building leadership.
Annual Democratic Evaluation of Party Members Activity
To further strengthen the Party member team, uphold serious intra-Party political life, and enhance the cohesion and combat effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations, the First, Second, and Third Party Committees of Longan Guangzhou have successively carried out the annual democratic evaluation of Party members.
At the beginning of the activity, the secretaries of each Party committee fully played a leading role, organizing all Party members to study in detail relevant sections of the “Constitution of the Communist Party of China”, relevant intra-Party regulations, and important documents issued by higher authorities recently.
During the subsequent individual self-evaluation and mutual evaluation sessions, Party members of each committee gave individual self-evaluation speeches one by one. Based on their own actual performance in terms of ideology, study, work, and work style, they thoroughly identified problems, deeply analyzed the roots, clarified future efforts and improvement measures, and submitted written self-criticism materials as required. In the mutual evaluation process, Party members, with a high sense of responsibility to the organization, honestly and realistically offered pertinent opinions and suggestions to each other.
To ensure the objectivity and fairness of the evaluation results, each committee strictly followed the procedures and distributed the “Democratic Evaluation of Party Members Form” to the participating Party members. Through anonymous voting, democratic evaluations were conducted on each Party member from multiple aspects. The evaluation process was standardized and orderly, fully protecting the democratic rights of Party members.
The committees of each Party committee, based on individual Party member self-evaluations, mutual evaluations, democratic evaluation results, and daily performance of Party members, conducted careful analysis and collective research, and realistically gave evaluation opinions on each Party member. On this basis, outstanding Party members of their respective committees were selected.
Sharing Meeting of Practice Insights
On March 19, the Second and Third Party Committees of Longan Guangzhou jointly held a sharing meeting for Party member lawyers’ practice insights. At the sharing meeting, Lawyer Luo Xiaoxi, the host, welcomed the Party members and colleagues present. She pointed out that this sharing meeting is an important platform to deepen Party building leadership and promote the exchange and growth of Party member lawyers. She hoped that through exchange and mutual learning, and ideological collision, everyone would further strengthen their belief in the rule of law, remember their original mission, integrate Party spirit into the whole process of legal services, and demonstrate the responsibility and elegance of Party member lawyers through practical actions.

Lawyer Zhou Junwei shared his insights based on his many years of practice experience. He encouraged young lawyers to face the development of the industry, view professional pressure rationally, not be overly anxious, and not set limits for themselves. He emphasized that Party member lawyers should always adhere to the legal bottom line and professional ethics, base themselves on professional capabilities and the belief in the rule of law, handle each legal matter well with solid efforts, focus on professional reputation and long-term accumulation, actively integrate into the industry development, practice their original mission through hard work, and demonstrate the responsibility and commitment of Party member lawyers.

She believes that a lawyer’s original mission is a sense of awe for the law, a commitment to justice, and a sense of responsibility. As a Party member lawyer, she should also use cases as a reference and practice what she knows, keep her true self in each case, and practice the belief in the rule of law with professionalism and warmth.

After the sharing, a free discussion session began. Party member lawyers and firm colleagues discussed topics such as Party building leadership in practice and the growth of young lawyers, sharing their experiences freely. The implementation of this series of Party building activities is an important practice for Longan Guangzhou to deepen Party building leadership and strengthen the Party member team.
