In order to integrate the professional expertise of the legal profession in Guangzhou, and to study the relevant issues in the optimization and reform of a facilitating, market-oriented, internationalized, and law-based business environment in Guangzhou, the Guangzhou Law and Government Business Environment Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as “The Institute”) has recently announced the list of deputy secretaries and research assistants. Lawyer Ren Chao, a senior partner at Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm, has been appointed as the deputy secretary of The Institute, while Lawyer Hu Liping has been appointed as a research assistant.
This appointment reflects the high recognition of the outstanding professional abilities of Lawyer Ren Chao and Lawyer Hu Liping by The Institute. LONGAN
The Guangzhou Law and Government Business Environment Research Institute was established in April 2017. It is a private non-enterprise legal entity established by the Guangzhou Law Bureau under its guidance and approval, and is managed by the Guangzhou Lawyers Association. The purpose of the Institute is to integrate the expert resources of the legal profession in Guangzhou, to study the relevant issues in the optimization and reform of a facilitating, market-oriented, internationalized, and law-based business environment in Guangzhou, and to produce policy recommendations for the decision-making of the municipal Party committee and government. It also provides practical solutions for various sectors of society.
Introduction to the Lawyers
Lawyer Ren Chao
After completing his undergraduate studies, Lawyer Ren Chao studied in Canada and obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of British Columbia. He is currently a senior partner at Longan Guangzhou, the director of the Longan Bay Area Enforcement Law Research Center, a member of the China Law Society, a member of the Guangdong Foreign Lawyers Talent Pool, and a member of the first council of the China Medical Equipment Intellectual Property Alliance. He also won third prize in the third national finals of the China E-commerce Lecturer Competition. Lawyer Ren Chao passed the legal professional exam in 2008 and has worked for many years at Sinopec CNOY Ship Fuel Supply Co., Ltd., where he served as the head of the Business Risk Department.
Since starting his legal career, Lawyer Ren Chao has focused on legal matters related to economic criminal cases, corporate law, and private equity funds. He has led his team in representing several criminal cases related to intellectual property rights, contract fraud, gambling operations, prostitution, and illegal fundraising. He has also served as a permanent legal advisor for several companies, helping clients with equity acquisitions and investments.
Some of the clients he has served include: CCCC Urban Development Group, China Medical Equipment Association, Sinopec Guangdong Petroleum Branch, Sinopec CNOY Ship Fuel Supply Co., Ltd., Digital China Medical Technology Co., Ltd., a certain branch of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau, Guangzhou Rural Commercial Bank, and Zhengyu Group.
Lawyer Hu Liping
Lawyer Hu Liping graduated from China University of Political Science and Law. She has a solid foundation in legal theory. She is a full-time lawyer at Longan Guangzhou and also serves as a researcher at the Longan Bay Area Enforcement Law Research Center, a senior corporate compliance officer, and a member of the Guangdong Foreign Lawyers Talent Pool. She has professional expertise in civil and commercial legal matters.
Since starting her career, Lawyer Hu Liping has focused on corporate governance, economic disputes, marriage and family matters, labor disputes, and personal injury compensation. She is skilled in handling complex litigation and arbitration cases. Over her career, she has handled many civil and commercial litigation and arbitration cases. With her solid legal knowledge and rich practical experience, she can accurately identify the key points of cases and provide clients with solutions that are both legally rigorous and commercially viable.
