Longan Updates | Longan Nantong Director Zhou Donghua and Delegation Visit Longan Guangzhou for Exchange
On October 26, Director and Senior Partner Lawyer Zhou Donghua of Beijing Longan (Nantong) Law Firm led a delegation including Director Assistants Lawyers Zhang Rui, Feng Ping, Ling Qing, and Wu Yunqi and administrative staff Ms. Dong Jiamin to visit Longan Guangzhou for exchange. Senior Partner Lawyer Zhou Chen of Longan Shanghai also participated. Lawyer Liu Xin, Director of the Management Committee of Longan Guangzhou, Lawyer Sha Yuchen, Founding Partner, Lawyer Ge Xiangrong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee and Senior Partner, and Ms. Liang Yuzhen, Deputy Director of the Management Committee and Head of the Comprehensive Service Center, gave a warm reception.
Accompanied by Director Liu Xin and others, Director Zhou Donghua’s delegation visited Longan Guangzhou’s multi-function conference room, Party building room, office area, as well as the newly expanded 45th-floor office space and fitness area, and gained an in-depth understanding of digital management facilities such as the access control system, meeting room reservation system, and smart office equipment.
At the beginning of the symposium, Director Liu Xin, on behalf of Longan Guangzhou, expressed a warm welcome to the colleagues from Nantong. He said that he had previously had the opportunity to visit the Longan Nantong office, and that Nantong’s outstanding talent, vibrant economy, and the development quality of Longan Nantong had left a deep impression on him. This exchange was another vivid practice of cross-regional experience sharing within the Longan system, and also an important opportunity for both sides to jointly explore high-quality development of law firms.
On the topics of law firm development trends and operational management, Director Liu Xin shared in depth and detail based on Longan Guangzhou’s practice. From multiple aspects, including changes in the industry environment, positioning of development goals, and intelligent platform construction, he introduced the overall approach to law firm operations, and exchanged views with Nantong colleagues on directions such as artificial intelligence applications, business expansion, and cultural construction. He said that the existing advantages of the Longan system in its warm and inclusive institutions and culture are an important development foundation that all branch offices can jointly rely on and utilize. At the same time, it is very necessary for Longan nationwide to carry out closer interaction and exchange, learn from and promote each other, so that Longan nationwide’s development awareness remains constantly renewed and its momentum remains constantly strong.
Director Zhou Donghua expressed heartfelt gratitude for Longan Guangzhou’s warm reception and candid sharing. He summarized his feelings about the trip as “excited, shocked, and tense”: excited that the two sides had finally made the trip, shocked by Longan Guangzhou’s development achievements, and also acutely aware of the urgency of learning given Guangzhou’s strong development momentum. Director Zhou said that he had specifically led the delegation to come this time, hoping to deeply learn from Longan Guangzhou’s experience in firm management philosophy, operational management, and talent cohesion.
In the exchange session, both sides engaged in lively discussions on topics such as the platform value of law firms in the AI era, talent recruitment, club construction and talent retention, and professional activity operations. Lawyer Zhang Rui recalled the bond formed with Guangzhou since participating in the Longan Young Lawyers Training Camp in 2024, and discussed specific topics such as administrative empowerment and brand promotion operations in depth with the Guangzhou team. Lawyer Feng Ping said that the topics on institutions and services that the delegation planned to learn about this trip were all inspired in this exchange, and in the future Longan Nantong will focus on studying how law firms can empower lawyers. Lawyer Zhou Chen, based on Longan Shanghai’s operational practice, offered thoughts on the path to scaling and the impact of AI on the organizational form of law firms.
Ms. Liang Yuzhen, on behalf of the Longan Guangzhou Management Committee, briefly introduced Longan Guangzhou’s development history, lawyer scale, and honors received, explained Longan Guangzhou’s operational management structure and job responsibilities, and detailed the achievements and accumulated experience of Longan Guangzhou in recent years in various aspects such as professional construction, cultural construction, and team building. In addition, she also exchanged on-site with Longan Nantong colleagues on many details and practices of law firm operations. Lawyer Sha Yuchen said that Longan Nantong and Longan Guangzhou are economically complementary and share resources, and hoped that the two offices would use this exchange as a starting point to maintain frequent interaction in business collaboration and talent exchange. Lawyer Ge Xiangrong expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of Longan Nantong colleagues.
