On June 19, Lawyer Hao Hao, Deputy Director of the Longan Bay Area Legal, Financial and Tax Integration Research Center and senior partner at Longan Guangzhou, and Lawyer Li Dingbang, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Longan Bay Area Legal, Financial and Tax Integration Research Center and Deputy Director of the Longan Guangzhou Marriage and Family Department, were invited to the Xiancun Chamber of Commerce in Tianhe District, Guangzhou. They attended the “Legal Salon and Member Day Activity: Law Nourishing Business, Red Alliance Building, Jointly Building the Future of Enterprises” organized by the chamber, and gave a special lecture.

Lawyer Hao Hao, Deputy Director of the Longan Bay Area Legal, Financial and Tax Integration Research Center and senior partner at Longan Guangzhou, shared his insights on “Trends in Wealth Management Inheritance and Corporate Compliance – From the Perspectives of Revised Company Law, Criminal Law and Tax-related Judicial Interpretations”. First, Lawyer Hao introduced data-based information on criminal risks faced by entrepreneurs in business activities, and analyzed in detail the specific situations of entrepreneurs involved in criminal offenses in the business sector. Then, he introduced the various revisions and changes in the Criminal Law Amendment, and combined with the revisions to the Company Law, he explained the necessity and importance of corporate compliance from both criminal and business perspectives. Finally, using the judicial interpretations of the “Two High Courts” regarding tax collection and management crimes, Lawyer Hao analyzed in detail the different criminal offenses related to taxes, their identification criteria, and typical cases. Through these perspectives, he explored the development trends of wealth management and corporate compliance, thereby enhancing the legal compliance and risk prevention awareness of the entrepreneurs present.

Lawyer Li Dingbang, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Longan Bay Area Legal, Financial and Tax Integration Research Center and Deputy Director of the Longan Guangzhou Marriage and Family Department, shared his insights on “Interpretation of the New Company Law from the Perspectives of Wealth Management and Inheritance – Taking Five Typical Scenarios as Examples”. First, Lawyer Li introduced the various revisions and amendments to the Company Law, and analyzed the importance and core provisions of the Company Law from a historical perspective. Then, starting from five practical scenarios—divestment, actual payment, capital contribution, directors, supervisors and senior management, controlling shareholders, responsibilities of actual controllers, class shares and customized articles of association, and overall planning of wealth management and inheritance under the new Company Law—he analyzed in detail issues such as tax planning, wealth management, and business operations, as well as solutions, thereby helping the entrepreneurs present understand legal knowledge in the business and civil fields.

After the sharing session, President Chen Zhijun presented a certificate of Chief Legal Advisor to Lawyer Hao Hao from the Xiancun Chamber of Commerce. This will effectively promote further cooperation between the Xiancun Chamber of Commerce and Longan Guangzhou. The two sides also had further discussions on the legalization of business activities and corporate compliance.

Lawyer Li Dingbang is Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Longan Bay Area Legal, Financial and Tax Integration Research Center, Deputy Director of the Marriage and Family Department at Beijing Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Liwan Popular Music Association, Permanent Director of the Guangzhou Public Welfare Financial Innovation and Development Center, and member of the Chinese Will Storage Library Academic Committee. He graduated from China University of Political Science and Law with a master’s degree in civil and commercial law. He participated in the formulation of the general provisions and guarantee system judicial interpretations of the Civil Code, and also studied at Columbia University Law School. He has received many awards at national and provincial civil and commercial law doctoral forums and Hubei Civil Law Research Association. He has published more than ten papers on related legal and united front issues in academic and practical journals such as Tsinghua Legal Review, Guangdong Lawyers, and Insurance Theory and Practice. He completed the second session of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area foreign-related lawyer training program and received the “Outstanding Debater” award in the mock arbitration competition and the first prize in English document writing.
