Deep Integration of Law and Taxation

On December 4th, the Longan Bay Area Law, Taxation, and Finance Integration Research Center, Longan Guangzhou Tax-related Business Department, Longan Guangzhou Company Law Committee, and Longan Guangzhou Marriage, Family Affairs, and Wealth Management Department jointly organized a salon titled “Looking Forward to 2025: A New Era of Deep Integration of Law and Taxation”. The purpose was to further promote the development of the integration of law and taxation, and to jointly envision the future of this integration. A special guest was invited: Lawyer Wang Yang, a partner at Beijing Yingke Law Firm and a senior tax-related expert.

Lawyer Chen Banliang, Director of the Longan Bay Area Law, Taxation, and Finance Integration Research Center and Senior Partner in Longan Guangzhou, delivered the opening speech. He welcomed Lawyer Wang Yang warmly and pointed out that the deep integration of law and taxation is an inevitable trend, which will also help promote tax compliance and handling of tax-related cases. He also hoped that this event would further facilitate exchanges on the integration of law and taxation.

Subsequently, both parties discussed legal issues related to enterprises’ international expansion. Lawyer Li Wenxiao, Senior Partner in Longan Guangzhou and Head of the Real Estate Department, introduced the background and role of Longan Guangzhou’s international business activities. He shared the legal challenges and strategies that enterprises may face during international expansion. Lawyer Wang Yang, based on his experience in the United States, also discussed issues related to dispute resolution and commercial arbitration in international expansion, and shared his own understanding of international expansion.

Lawyer Hao Hao, Deputy Director of the Longan Bay Area Law, Taxation, and Finance Integration Research Center and Senior Partner in Longan Guangzhou, discussed various hot issues related to the handling of tax-related criminal cases, the application and understanding of new tax-related judicial interpretations, and the calculation of tax losses. He shared his insights on the key issues in handling such cases from a practical perspective. Lawyer Wang Yang, based on his many years of tax experience, shared a recent tax-related criminal case he handled, providing a professional analysis of the new tax-related judicial interpretations, especially regarding the calculation of tax losses.

Lawyer Hao Hao

Lawyer Zhang Jing, Senior Partner in Longan Guangzhou and Director of the Company Law Committee, discussed issues related to corporate tax planning, cross-border e-commerce taxation, and foreign exchange. Lawyer Zhang, based on her experience in handling cases, analyzed various problems encountered by cross-border e-commerce companies in terms of tax payment and foreign exchange compliance. Lawyer Wang Yang agreed with this, pointing out that tax issues in the field of cross-border e-commerce are very common and frequent. During the event, she and Lawyer Zhang discussed practical issues and explored solutions together.

Lawyer Li Dingbang, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Longan Bay Area Law, Taxation, and Finance Integration Research Center and Deputy Head of Longan Guangzhou Marriage, Family Affairs, and Wealth Management Department, discussed issues related to wealth management and inheritance. Lawyer Li pointed out that, in the current context, wealth management and inheritance are hot topics. He explained how to improve wealth management practices, and introduced tools such as insurance and trusts. He also analyzed the structure, establishment, and models of trusts. Based on his own experience in handling cases, he shared his insights on the practical aspects of international expansion, discussing effective strategies for international expansion.

The event was conducted in the form of discussions. Lawyers shared their expertise in their respective fields, and the guests also participated based on their experiences. The event concluded successfully with lively discussions and applause.
