On New Year’s Eve evening, I accidentally saw this butterfly on the mottled wall at home. It stood quietly, and the sunlight passing through its colorful wings seemed to cross the cold wind of the end of the year, connecting into waves of longing. Suddenly, I remembered that when I was a child, my grandparents often asked me: “Should I go home for the New Year?” I wonder if this butterfly is also a distant relative, turning into a shadow of my hometown, gently knocking on the door on New Year’s Eve.
