The red-clothed “spider man” climbs 108 meters on the karst rocks in Yanzhi Cave. After about 10 minutes, he reaches the top and waves the red flag, without any protective measures throughout the process. In the Miao language, “spider man” is called “Guo Ruo”. In the past, people collected燕子 eggs and bird’s nests on the cliffs. After the scenic area was built, rock climbing became one of the performance items.
Since 2011, the Ziyun Rock Climbing Base has held the Gequ International Rock Climbing Exchange Conference and other events. In 2024, the “Rock Travel Guizhou” event took place on the outdoor rock field in the scenic area, attracting competitors from all over the world. The “golden brand” of sports and culture and tourism has gradually become a “treasure basin” for income in the Ziyun Mountain area, and it is also a unique IP that attracts tourists and rock climbers.

Over time, the waves of the times continue to flow, and everything is quietly changing. However, Zhangjiakou Bolizi is like an old man who stands quietly in the city, perfectly preserving the simple appearance of the old family, carrying the historical memory and cultural heritage of this city.

On the fourth day of the fourth month evening, I went to her hometown with classmates. To celebrate the New Year, the cultural building in the village is performing Le opera. This is a characteristic drama performed in the local dialect. When I was a child, I often went to watch it with my grandparents. I remember many scripts, but I rarely saw it since I started school. Suddenly hearing the familiar singing, it feels like briefly returning to the Spring Festival as a child.
