On January 19, 2025, the celebration of the 2025 annual meeting of Longan Guangzhou Law Firm in Beijing’s Longan (Guangzhou) Law Firm took place as scheduled and concluded successfully at the Guangzhou Yuehai Sheraton Hotel. All colleagues from Longan Guangzhou gathered together to summarize the challenges and achievements of 2024, and step into 2025 with bright prospects.
The annual meeting consisted of five sessions: an annual summary of the law firm and speeches by the leaders, a summary of the party branch, annual awards for the law firm, entertainment performances, and a dinner celebration. These sessions were hosted by five talented and elegant colleagues: Ge Xiangrong, Chen Huan, He Ruiping, Wei Rui, and Chen Luoyu.

（I）The director of the management committee gave a speech and summarized the year
At the annual meeting, Director Liu Xin of the Longan Guangzhou Management Committee comprehensively and from multiple perspectives reviewed the work of the law firm in 2024 and delivered a speech. Specifically, Director Liu Xin summarized and shared four aspects: the achievements and shortcomings of the law firm, six expectations, and the conclusion.
2024: Stability with progress, remarkable achievements
Over the past year, in a complex and changing market environment, Longan Guangzhou chose stability. The rapid expansion was paused, and efforts were focused on internal improvement. Remarkable achievements were made, mainly in eight areas: a slight but high-quality increase in the number of lawyers, significant growth in revenue, comprehensive development of professional capabilities, vibrant cultural and sports activities, obvious advantages in brand promotion, numerous awards and qualifications, strengthened party building work, and stronger back-office services.
It is worth mentioning that in terms of professional development, in 2024, Longan Guangzhou established the Longan Bay Law, Finance, and Tax Integration Research Center, the Longan Bay ASEAN Law Research Center, and the Longan Bay Criminal Crime Prevention and Control Research Center, which greatly promoted the professional integration of the branches in the Longan Bay area. Additionally, the law firm established a research center for major and difficult civil and commercial cases, focusing on the research and handling of such cases.
In terms of awards and honors, Longan Guangzhou received many awards. The law firm was successfully included in the “List of Bankruptcy Case Managers in Guangdong Province”, filling a professional gap; it won the Commercial Law Excellence Award in the Guangzhou regional branch category, highlighting its industry status; the Longan Guangzhou debate team won the championship in the Longan National Lawyers (Criminal) Debate, showing the excellence of the lawyer team; several legal service products ranked among the top in the Guangdong Lawyers Association and Longan National competitions, demonstrating the innovation and strength of the law firm in professional fields.
In addition, the law firm organized 74 activities throughout the year, including 46 professional activities, 21 cultural activities, and 7 party building activities. The activities were diverse and innovative, fully showing the professional strength and cultural heritage of Longan Guangzhou.
Shortcomings and regrets in 2024
Looking back at 2024, despite the remarkable achievements, there were also some shortcomings and regrets. Director Liu Xin admitted that the team-building approach promoted by the law firm had some teams that were more formal than practical, and some teams had depth but lacked breadth. In response, Director Liu suggested that these teams could strive for improvement in four areas: professional specialization, cross-professional cooperation, industry breadth, and cooperation efficiency.
Furthermore, the establishment of a direct empowerment mechanism did not meet expectations. Director Liu said that the establishment of such a mechanism was crucial for reducing the anxiety related to case sources and promoting deeper professional development. In the future, the law firm will continue to study and explore this area further.
（II）Summary of the party branch
Lawyer Ye Peng, the secretary of the Longan Guangzhou Party Branch, summarized the work of the party branch in 2024 and outlined the plans for 2025.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Ye Peng reported in detail on the achievements of the party branch in 2024. Over the past year, the Longan Guangzhou Party Branch made significant progress in party building work. This was reflected in the growth of the party branch committee and its members, as well as the increase in the number of party members. The party members showed a positive attitude both in thought and action. Through various innovative activities, the party branch successfully integrated party building with actual business, such as visiting memorial parks, outdoor walks, and watching legal-themed movies, which enhanced communication and improved the overall quality of the party members, as well as the cohesion and effectiveness of the party organization.
For the plans for 2025, Secretary Ye Peng said that the Longan Guangzhou Party Branch will clarify its development direction, develop detailed plans, and improve work efficiency and quality. At the same time, the party building activities will continue to be innovated, and the diversity of activities will be increased, as well as the understanding and cooperation among party members.
（III）Annual awards for the law firm
In 2024, Longan Guangzhou made steady progress and had several outstanding teams and individuals. As a result, the law firm awarded 14 important awards.

（IV）Entertainment performances
After the grand and impressive summary and award ceremony, the long-awaited entertainment programs were presented. The colleagues from Longan Guangzhou delivered港-style dances, songs, stand-up comedy, classical dances, jazz dances, magic shows, and choral performances.
01·港风舞蹈: “CHA CHA CHA + Do You Want to Dance?”
The “Buiqi Dance Group” composed of six members from the law firm’s Comprehensive Service Center took the stage first. With their youthful energy, they performed a港-style retro dance “CHA CHA CHA + Do You Want to Dance?” that instantly put everyone in the atmosphere of the 1990s.

02·Male duet: “Forest”
Lawyers Chen Changqin and Qiu Penghui performed a popular Cantonese song “Forest” with their unique voices, in line with the港-style theme of the annual meeting.
03·Stand-up comedy: “Things of Lawyers”
Last year, Lawyer Chen Guan’s “alluring” dance performed was still memorable. This year, he brought a surprise with the stand-up comedy “Things of Lawyers” that all the people from Longan demonstrated.
04·Dance show: “Blue and White Porcelain + Go Girl + Whiplash”
The dance groups from the law firm presented two very different styles of dances. The classic dance “Blue and White Porcelain” was like a gentle江南 melody that captivated everyone; the jazz dance “Go Girl + Whiplash” was refreshing and impressive.
05·Magic show
Lawyer Peng Jinqiao, a magic expert from Longan Guangzhou, performed magic at the annual meeting for the third time. His magic shows are a highlight every year. This year, Lawyer Peng Jinqiao presented three magic tricks, including turning playing cards into hearts, exchanging wine glasses without touching them, and turning a scarf into an egg, all creating continuous surprises.
06·Song performance: “If Love Has a Reason”
Lawyer Li Dingbang sang a deeply emotional song “If Love Has a Reason” with his magnetic voice, conveying the emotions of the song. His singing seemed to transcend time, taking the audience into a world full of love and memories.
07·Choir: “The World of Man”, “Under the Clouds”, “Looking Back”
The long-awaited Longan Guangzhou Choir took the stage last. The choir, which practices twice a month, performed two songs of different styles at the annual meeting: “The World of Man” and “Under the Clouds”. “The World of Man” was full of warmth and strength, while “Under the Clouds” had a melodious and ethereal tone. The Longan Guangzhou Choir, with its unique charm and dedication, provided a wonderful auditory experience for the audience. The atmosphere was lively, and at the request for “anke” (a cheer for more), the choir performed the classic song “Looking Back”.
（V）Dinner celebration
Amid the joyful music, the toast team led by the management committee stood up and raised their glasses together with the other colleagues, officially starting the dinner.
As the dinner began, Lawyer Kong Ming, who had turned into the “God of Wealth” once again, brought gold coins and chocolates to wish everyone good luck for the new year.
