On May 28, Yan Wenjing, Deputy Director of the Case Acceptance Center of Zhuhai International Arbitration Institute, Tang Nan, Deputy Director of Arbitration Section II, and Li Yaozu, Arbitration Secretary, visited Longan Guangzhou to carry out business exchange activities.
Lawyer Wu Rangjun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Longan Guangzhou and Senior Partner, Lawyer Huang Xiangguang, Senior Partner Xie Xin, Partner Jin Li, and Lawyer Yang Lun received them warmly. Lawyer Wu Rangjun first extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Zhuhai International Arbitration Institute and introduced the Longan brand, as well as the history and current development status of Longan Bay and Longan Guangzhou. He said that Longan attaches great importance to commercial arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution. The first research institution established in Longan Bay is the Commercial Arbitration Research Center, which brings together experts and consultants from various professional fields and Longan lawyers who also serve as arbitrators. The visit of Zhuhai Arbitration is an important opportunity for both sides to strengthen exchanges and cooperation.

As the exchange meeting officially began, Lawyer Huang Xiangguang first shared his experience and insights during his tenure as an arbitrator at Zhuhai Arbitration. He also inquired about the characteristics of Zhuhai Arbitration in case acceptance and management. He expressed his hope to continue to develop together with Zhuhai Arbitration in the future and support each other. Then, Lawyer Xie Xin represented the Commercial Arbitration Research Center of Longan Bay and introduced it. He hoped to carry out more research and cooperation in the field of arbitration with Zhuhai Arbitration. He also expressed the hope that there would be opportunities to organize lawyers from other regions to visit and learn from Zhuhai Arbitration. Subsequently, Lawyer Jin Li represented the ASEAN Legal Research Center of Longan Bay and introduced it. She believed that when domestic enterprises go global and encounter cross-border dispute resolution, it is difficult for both parties to reach an agreement on the jurisdiction of the court. They tend to choose commercial arbitration. She hoped to use the international and convenient advantages of Zhuhai Arbitration to promote arbitration services in the ASEAN region and facilitate the efficient resolution of disputes. Lawyer Yang Lun said that as a young lawyer, he has always had a strong interest in commercial arbitration. The foreign-related cases he handles are also related to arbitration. This opportunity allows him to better understand the special advantages of Zhuhai Arbitration and deepen his understanding of arbitration services, providing more options for clients.
Deputy Director Yan Wenjing elaborated in detail on the characteristics and advantages of Zhuhai Arbitration in terms of reform direction, institutional guarantees, talent introduction and training. This reflects the rapid development of Zhuhai Arbitration in recent years. There have been significant improvements in the number and quality of cases, as well as in management mechanisms and talent levels. Deputy Director Tang Nan introduced the connection mechanism between adjudication and arbitration at Zhuhai Arbitration. He said that this mechanism helps to efficiently resolve the difficulties in preservation and enforcement in arbitration cases. The strict management system for trial deadlines, combined with the unique “six core” review system, ensures both efficiency and quality of awards.
During the free communication session, the two sides had in-depth discussions on hot issues such as arbitration fees, case management, the connection between mediation and arbitration, and foreign-related commercial arbitration.
The delegation from Zhuhai International Arbitration Institute visited Longan Guangzhou for exchanges. The two sides reached a high level of consensus on jointly promoting the development of commercial arbitration, enhancing the efficiency and fairness of judgments, and serving and protecting enterprises going global. This enhanced mutual understanding and expanded cooperation opportunities.
