Special Sharing
Lawyer Chang Wenbin
A senior partner from Longan Guangzhou
Lawyer Chang Wenbin has been practicing law since 2011. He has accumulated rich experience in private equity and investment funds, real estate and construction projects, and dispute resolution. He first briefly introduced the basic situation of the team members, and then focused on sharing three different marketing strategies: doing business as a merchant, acting as a merchant, and engaging in business. Lawyer Chang said that instead of waiting for clients to come to them, it is better to use channels to expand cases and actively maintain a cooperative network. In terms of specific tactics, one can use the ancient wisdom of “no business without excellence” to provide extra care to clients; at the same time, it is important to identify and prepare for emerging legal needs, creating a “blue ocean” market. Additionally, it is possible to actively pursue business opportunities with Chinese enterprises. At the legal professional level, Lawyer Chang suggested paying attention to identifying and managing derivative lawsuits, and providing good advice on second-instance lawsuits for clients. It is also important to pay attention to the application of procedural law in civil and commercial litigation. Finally, he shared three levels of a lawyer’s career: in the early stage, one is in a “hidden dragon” phase, where one needs to accumulate experience and avoid arrogance and impatience; in the middle stage, one should have a clear goal and achieve it; in the third stage, one becomes like a “beautiful leopard,” where one moves beyond technical aspects and advances to higher levels of professional achievement and life quality.
Lawyer Zhang Jing
A senior partner from Longan Guangzhou and Director of the Company Law Professional Committee
Lawyer Zhang Jing shared his experience in “how lawyers become ‘internet celebrities’ – short video operation”. He first shared the mindset that needs to be overcome when doing short videos, such as being willing to let go of偶像 mentality and being open-minded. Lawyer Zhang also mentioned two misunderstandings in short video operation, such as thinking that the more useful the content is, the better it is. Then, he shared the types of cases and non-litigation projects that have been converted so far, including background checks for Chinese companies, legal consulting, and disputes over international goods contracts. Lawyer Zhang said that the foreign-related field has great potential, and he hopes that those who want to do short videos can explore more and find the right entry points.
Lawyer Yin Ye
A partner from Longan Guangzhou
Lawyer Yin Ye first shared her experience of being a lawyer since 2018, with her practice in many cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and in various fields. Then, she focused on some typical litigation cases and non-litigation projects she handled, and mentioned her service philosophy of treating each case/project with a sincere heart. Next, Lawyer Yin shared that she will focus on investment-related services, providing legal services for investors, founders, managers, and central state-owned enterprises. Finally, Lawyer Yin suggested that it is important to provide excellent legal services to clients, effectively solve their problems, and treat clients and partners sincerely. In the future, she hopes to inspire more young people to have confidence in the legal industry.
Summary and Exchange
At the end of the event, Director Liu Xin of the Longan Guangzhou Management Committee highly praised the excellent sharing by the three lawyers. Then, he analyzed the economic environment in the legal service market as of June this year, and pointed out that one of the key points to address the market situation is to improve the conversion rate of clients, which requires correct and effective methods. When dealing with clients, lawyers should use strong professional skills, sincere service spirit, and reasonable pricing to reduce the clients’ cost of trial and error. On this basis, how can one better retain clients? The key is to provide added value to clients, including emotional and resource value, which helps to establish a longer-term emotional and trust connection with clients. Additionally, Director Liu emphasized the importance of love, diligence, talent, and energy as important factors in choosing a professional direction.
Longan Guangzhou Xinhuo Meeting has always been committed to building a high-quality internal communication and cooperation platform. Through in-depth communication across different fields, it strengthens the professional resource sharing within the law firm, enabling effective integration of high-quality resources. In the future, Longan Guangzhou will continue to deepen such activities, promoting the integration of the traditional tradition of “passing on knowledge” and innovative thinking, and creating a more open and collaborative partner ecosystem, providing continuous motivation for the high-quality development of the law firm.
